Buck's Bar.

Today saw my second outing outing as part of this blog, and since it was lunchtime (ie. not the most socially acceptable time to go out just for drinks) I decided to go somewhere that served food as well as drinks. I eventually decided on Buck's Bar, which much like Tabac I had been to before, so I knew that I was going to enjoy it.

Buck's Bar is primarily known for serving food, and it's menu consists almost entirely of chicken, but it also has a fully functioning bar which offers a surprisingly large selection of drinks considering it's first and foremost a restaurant. From beers to cocktails, there's a lot to choose from, as well as milkshakes which are also great. Inside, Buck's Bar is lined with booths, with low lighting that makes the place feel warm and cosy - especially on a day as cold, wet and grey as today. The music selection is also up to scratch, playing bands like Fleetwood Mac, The Black Keys, and Chuck Berry.
Having only ever ordered the chicken and waffles (which i would highly recommend) on previous visits to Buck's Bar, I opted for the Kim Jong Bun burger (bonus points for a solid pun) along with Glasgow's finest brew - a pint of Tennent's (purely for research purposes of course). Buck's Bar also boasts a huge choice of hot sauces, the hottest of which actually requires you to sign a disclaimer in order to be allowed to eat it.

While the food at Buck's Bar may seem pricey at first, once you see the portion sizes you quickly realise that you are more than getting your money's worth - this was the first time I've actually managed to finish a meal there - and the quality assures you that this is more than just a glorified KFC.

Buck's Bar has a lot to offer, and not just on the drinks front; the drinks, food, interior, as well as the music, make it an all round enjoyable experience, and a place that I'll definitely go back to in future. Instagram.

Score: 8/10
