Raising The Bar.

 I'm Elliot, a third year Economics and Marketing student at the University of Strathclyde. As a part of my Marketing classes this year, I'm studying digital marketing communications, of which part of the coursework tasks me with creating and up-keeping a blog. This part of the class requires me to implement and put into practice the digital marketing communications techniques we've been taught in class in order to create awareness of the blog and to drive traffic to it.

 In order to make my coursework a little more exciting (digital marketing communications isn't the most thrilling of topics), I decided to make the focus of my blog a bit more lively and make it about the bars and pubs in and around Glasgow. Glasgow is famously home to a wealth of bars and pubs, which means that I should have no shortage of places to visit and discuss in this blog. With each bar I visit, I'll be writing a short blog post about each one and what I thought of it - essentially reviewing the bar/pub - attaching a few photos of my own to show what the place looks like, and giving it a score out of ten, meaning that each different place I visit can be easily compared to one another. To help me with this, I've created an Instagram account for this blog as well (the link to which is at the bottom of this post), which is one way in which digital marketing communications can be used to create a buzz, so feel free to follow that for regular updates. If there are any particularly good bars or pubs in Glasgow that you think I should visit, please let me know - the more the merrier.
