Vodka Wodka.

After having had dinner and a few drinks at Brel, we decided to move on and go somewhere else for a few more drinks on Ashton Lane. We didn't want to walk far in the rain, so kept our journey short and went next door to Vodka Wodka; another place I'd already been to before. I'd been to Vodka Wodka during the summer, when it was hot and dry enough to sit outside in the beer garden during the day and enjoy the weather. However, since it's now November, sitting outdoors wasn't quite as appealing as it was a few months ago.

Vodka Wodka during the day feels sort of like any other bar on Ashton Lane, serving food as well as a huge selection of drinks, but at night, Vodka Wodka feels more like a club and significantly different than it does during the day. Inside, Vodka Wodka looks and feels very much like a normal bar, but has multiple different seating areas including their outside area, which is covered over and heated so you can sit outside even when the weather is rubbish. There isn't a great deal of room inside, so Vodka Wodka can feel quite cramped even when there aren't loads of people there, and constantly having to move to allow people to squeeze by isn't particularly relaxing.
However, what Vodka Wodka lacks in space, they make up for in their extensive drinks selection, and sell all the  classic cocktails, but also offer a variety of weird and wonderful cocktails of their own creation. Between the seven of us there, we had a range of different drinks, and personally I'd recommend trying a Bee's Baws.

Overall, I'm not the biggest fan of Vodka Wodka. During the day, it's nice to sit in the beer garden and enjoy the good weather, but at night it seems as if Vodka Wodka can't quite decide if it's a bar or a club. Maybe I'm just getting old, but it also seemed like everyone there looked about 12. I wouldn't say not to give Vodka Wodka a try (after all, you might enjoy it a great deal more than I did), but I would suggest going during the day when it's a little less cramped. As always, make sure you have a look at my Instagram page.
